Positive step forward on CRL project

News story
Friday 23 Dec 2016

Recently we presented at a resource consent hearing to highlight concerns about the adverse effect of CRL construction on business. In our view a more proactive and co-ordinated approach is required. We appreciate that a project of this scale will have an impact on the city but we want to be working with organisations like Auckland Transport on solutions in advance rather than just responding to issues as they happen.

Our submission was received positively by the hearings panel. There will be a stronger focus on the impact of construction on business in future through the expansion of an existing Auckland Transport community liaison group to specifically include business and business disruption. This is encouraging and we are committed to ensuring that the concerns of businesses continue to be listened to as the city centre develops and grows.

The Community and Business Liaison group will be formed by mid-February and we encourage businesses around the CRL Aotea Station construction area to look out for the call to participate. If you have any questions, please email us atinfo@hotcity.co.nz.
