High Street District

The High Street District has an eclectic mix of independent fashion boutiques, mainstream brands, gifts and homewares, restaurants, bars, creative and professional businesses and residential apartments. The streets and lanes in the area are intimately scaled and combine heritage architecture, urban grit, public art, native trees and award-winning urban design as seen in Freyberg Place. The area connects through the law and financial-firm focussed Shortland Street into the Fort Street Area, notable for tastefully redeveloped lanes and heritage buildings and a thriving hospitality industry.
