Aotea Square access update

News story
Wednesday 20 Jan 2010
Work under way for the Aotea Square redevelopment and the Civic car park upgrade is now at its peak.
Here are a few access changes to note if you are planning a trip to this part of the city.

- The Mayoral Drive entrance to the car park has now reopened.
- The Bledisloe stairwell is expected to reopen by 1 February.
- The Town Hall stairwell and lifts from the car park are temporarily closed.
- Access directly from Queen Street into the square is now closed. Please use SkyCity Metro (a temporary ramp is located at Starbucks Coffee for mobility access) to get from Queen Street to the Aotea Centre, Bledisloe House or the Civic car park.
- Free mobility parking bays are available at the Civic Administration Building off Greys Avenue and in the open car park behind Bledisloe House off Mayoral Drive.
