New Guide for RWC 2011 Business Opportunities

News story
Thursday 24 Sep 2009
A new business guide has been launched in the two-year lead up to the event.
With the Auckland region anticipating an additional $267 million in direct benefits during the RWC, this is a fantastic opportunity to get your business involved in event planning, transport to sign writing and much more – during the tournament.
To tap into the benefits the RWC offers businesses directly, Your Guide to Business Opportunities Around Rugby World Cup 2011 has been developed by the region's RWC economic development workstream, with funding from the Auckland region and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
The guide is the first in a suite of business support tools to be rolled out and aims to get Auckland businesses thinking about the various ways that they can get involved in RWC 2011.
Copies of Your Guide to Business Opportunities Around Rugby World Cup 2011 are available online at www.auckland2011.com/business or via local economic development agencies and the Auckland Chamber of Commerce.
The website will be regularly updated as new information becomes available and a programme of speakers, networking events and further resources will be offered as the tournament edges closer.
