New wake up service for CBD Streets

News story
Tuesday 8 Sep 2009
Auckland City council is now providing a patrol in the inner CBD 6-7am weekdays. The purpose of the patrol is to ensure that inner city doorways, bus stops and public areas are tidy and unobstructed before the work day is underway. Council does not have authority to move on people camping in your doorways but this authority can be delegated. If you wish to give council the appropriate authority under the Trespass Act please contact Steve Bloxham on 353 9044 or stephen.bloxham@aucklandcity.govt.nz.
Please note: the patrols concentrate on the areas where the most pedestrian traffic occurs. Trespassing from private property will only occur where there is an adverse impact on the public.
