Vector Arena outsells Madison Square Garden

Vector Arena celebrated its second birthday last month, and this month it received news that the venue was selling more tickets than New York City's famous Madison Square Garden.
Vector Arena, was rated 17th out of the 50 top arenas around the world for first-quarter ticket sales, according to concert information provider, Pollstar.
The Auckland venue beat Madison Square Garden in ticket sales by more than 1500 - with 95,373 sales in the first three months of 2009.
Since it first opened in 2007 a reported 800,000 people have attended Vector Arena, with more than 220 events and 87 concerts, including family shows.
American pop singer, Justin Timberlake, received the highest multiple-night attendance in November 2007, with 35,000 concert-goers; and last month rock band Kings of Leon attracted the highest single-night attendance with 11,930 people.
