City Centre Community Patrols

Community Patrols New Zealand (CPNZ) are looking to form a patrol in the city area. With the support of local police, this is an opportunity for members of the city centre community to contribute to crime prevention in the area.  A steering group meeting is being held on Tuesday 31st May 2022 from 10.30am till 12 midday, at Auckland Council’s Albert Street office.

If you are interested in helping to set up a local patrol in the city area please contact michal.dziwulski@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz

The proposed agenda is looking to cover the planning and development areas such as:

  • Police recruit options/ethnic patrollers development
  • Time frames and funding for running costs
  • Patrol vehicle and base for the vehicle
  • Publicity/media
  • Safer Plates programme
