Rubbish Collections: Business Responsibilities
With the peak tourist season in full swing, we wanted to remind businesses whose use the Auckland Council rubbish collections of their obligations to dispose rubbish in the correct way.Placing rubbish at the right times in an orderly and tidy manner goes a long way into keeping the city well presented.
- Rubbish, including general collections, recycling and tidy, flattened cardboard must be put out kerbside,in official bags,between 5-5:30pm (Monday to Saturday)or between 12am and 4am for collection.
- Rubbish placed on the streetoutside of these hours is in breach of the bylaw, inviting potential prosecution and fine from Council.
