The Viaduct and Waterfront precinct connects Wynyard Quarter in the west to the city centre. Made up of a number of quays, wharves, bridges and berthing areas on the edge of the Waitematā Harbour, this reclaimed land offers distinctive high quality dining and entertainment activities in Princes Wharf and the Viaduct Harbour. The area makes the most of its harbour proximity and views with a number of hotels and residential apartments. Professional services and property businesses have also been drawn to the area, which is supported by retail services. Marine events like the Ocean Race and Auckland Anniversary Day regatta add to the vibrancy of the area.
