10 years of Park(ing) Day in the city centre

News story
Thursday 20 Sep 2018

Park(ing) Day is celebrated around the world on 21 September - it's an annual event where community groups, architects and anyone else who's interested takes over on-street car parking spaces to create places for people for the day. Take a look at what's happening, where, in Auckland and the city centre this year here.

It's 10 years since we first brought Park(ing) Day to Auckland along with Frocks on Bikes - so we thought we'd share some flashback photos to that very first event - with parks on Queen Street, High Street and more in 2009.
