Throughout the month of August, over 100 special menus and events will showcase the world-class dining on offer throughout Auckland’s city centre for Restaurant Month in the Heart of the City 2022.

The city centre’s dining scene is one of Aucklanders’ favourite things about the heart of the city – so Restaurant Month is a great opportunity to celebrate and support the hospitality sector. It’s also an important part of our city centre recovery programme.

Every day, people will be able to experience the depth and breadth of cuisine available in the heart of the city through specially created menus being served up at three price points - $25, $40 and $55+ per person.

These deals will be complemented by a range of exciting, one off events, including the return of the popular Chef’s Table and Extraordinary Evenings series.

The Chef’s Table series will offer people a unique chance to connect with some of the city centre’s top chefs through an evening of food and conversation. 2022 will see PONI, kingi and Onemata chefs – to name but a few – giving diners an intimate glimpse into their personalities, careers and culinary inspirations.

While the Extraordinary Evening series celebrates the art of dining out by showcasing menus in new and exciting ways. This year will include a night of nostalgia with New Zealand’s Godfather of fine dining Tony Astle who is teaming up with FISH’s Des Harris.

People will be able to explore the taste and potential of food, courtesy of the AUT Gastronomy & Culinary Winter Series programme, while Social Hour will be the perfect excuse for a mid-week catch up.
